...You Has Kittens, How Many Maor?

Bwah! I'm so excited! I get home from school today and about fifteen minutes afterwards my cat Min starts going into labor, nesting herself in my bottom dresser drawer, which I had cleaned out and filled with towels and old (but clean) rags! Seven hours in and she's birthed four adorable little healthy fluffballs and has another possible kitten on the way! They're all so cute! The first born was a dark tabby like my little buddy Stratus, the second was a white and gray color, third was a BEAUTIFUL little mostly-white tortoise shell calico, and the fourth is a handsome little orange fellow.

Hopefully there's one more and it's born healthy! Suffice to say, I'm not going to school tomorrow so that I can keep a watchful eye upon my little fluffykins and her brood so that I know all is well. And I'm sure within a few days my OTHER female cat will be giving birth. Now that I've done the whole "kitty midwife" thing once, I think I have the hang of it! Let's just hope for no complications for little Min or her sister Miu, when the time comes!

Oh! And for all of you out there who want pictures, expect plenty soon! Once they've settled and Min has gotten used to her new role as momma I'll be snapping lots of photos for your viewing pleasure!

Oh yeah, that chorus has come around on the guitar a few times before.

The Weyrs I've belonged to/run have generally had a lot of world-building content, and we are often quite happy to let others use it WITH THE PROPER CREDIT OMG!

The "best" one recently was when a reporter contacted the academic dept. I work for and told me that she'd been doing an expose on "diploma mill" websites, and had found that one of them stole *our* dept's description of the thesis-writing process from our website, and plunked it down on theirs. This boggled me, as the two paragraphs they stole verbatim weren't exactly complex or original. I was left wondering why they didn't plagi-phrase them instead. I also wondered why they picked *us* -- we're Harvard, but we're an obscure dept. Maybe they thought they wouldn't get caught because of that, or because they buried it deep on an "interior" page. *shakes head*

Anyway -- my sympathies! But thanks for the link to the CopyScape thing! I will let our group's webmaster know about it. Sounds like it could prove useful.
