Ah, a school project that doesn't involve Art Class that I actually seriously ENJOY for once! In British Literature we've recently finished up the Anglo-Saxon studying, and during that we read Beowulf.

Having seen the movie, I can honestly say that I wasn't too impressed by the dragon. It was technically a Wyvern, in my mind. Though The shininess was awesome, as well as the sheer size. Anyway! For this project we had a number of options, including writing some poetry and even some riddles. And there was also the option to draw a scene from the book or draw up a portrait of Beowulf, Grendel, Grendel's Mother, or the Dragon. Now, seriously, DRAGON!? Derrr! O'course I'm gonna draw the flippin' dragon!

Shwoop. So, here he is in all his inked and crosshatched glory. Click here to see him all colored up. Enjoy! ;D

I always thought him of a Wyvern as well >.> For some reason, Dragons to me are long-lived, fantastical creatures who are intelligent and mostly benevolent. Wyverns are just dumb animals. But maybe that's just me.

NICE pose. He looks like he's ready to lunge. XD

Best. English. Assignment. Ever. You have no idea how lucky you are on that.

Keepin' it real.

Yeah! I can totally agree. But for the most part, the reasoning behind that dragon being a Wyvern was merely the fact that his front limbs were his wings, instead of having a separate pair for flight. *nod*

That too. Dragons need "hands" to manipulate, while Wyverns do not need them at all. Bloody Wyverns XP
